ZimCompany › Refund policy
Refund policy in force from 11 September 2026. You pay in full when you instruct the job, so this policy matters more than it would if we held only part of your money. It explains exactly what happens to it if the job does not proceed: if we cannot confirm a timeline in writing, if we miss the timeline we did confirm, if you stop the job, if you pay for a consultation and do not proceed, if a name is rejected, and if a dormant company turns out to be beyond the normal route. It is deliberately specific, because "no refunds" is the least useful sentence in this industry.
Refund policy in force from 11 September 2026. It applies to ZimCompany, a service registering and administering companies in Zimbabwe.
Your quotation is sent to you by email and it carries a card payment link, so you can pay the moment it arrives. Your quotation arrives by email. Reply to it and we confirm your timeline in writing before you pay. If we cannot confirm a timeline in writing, anything you have paid comes back in full.
That is the whole promise and it has no deductions in it. It is the one case where money already spent on your behalf is our problem rather than yours, because we should not have taken the payment before we could tell you when the work would happen.
Each item takes five working days from the day we have your complete documents, which is what our filing partner has confirmed to us in writing, and your own timeline is confirmed to you in writing before you pay. If we do not lodge your filing within that timeline, and the delay is ours rather than a government system being unavailable, we refund what you have paid, less any name-search application already made at US$5 each and any government fee already spent on your behalf.
Money that has already reached the registry cannot be recovered by us, which is why it is deducted rather than refunded. We show you what was spent.
You may stop at any time. If you stop before we lodge your filing, we refund what you have paid, less government fees already paid on your behalf and less any name search application already made, which is US$5 each. Work we have already delivered to you is not refunded.
In practice that means a client who stops on the same day usually gets everything back, and a client who stops after we have already bought two name searches gets everything back less US$10. We tell you what has been spent before we process it rather than after.
A name search is one application covering up to five names, and our registration price covers two attempts. If both attempts are rejected, the third search is charged as its own line: US$10, which is our fee for making the application, and CIPZ charges US$5 per application, included in it. A rejected name is not a failed job and does not trigger a refund, because the registry has performed the search it was paid for.
An approved name is reserved for about 30 days and lapses if the company is not filed in that window. If yours lapses before your documents are complete, a further name search is needed and CIPZ charges its US$5 government fee again.
The way to avoid a third search is to give us five genuinely different names rather than five variations of the same one.
Three routes start with a paid consultation: the re-registration register check at US$50, the foreign investor consultation at US$150 and the general consultation at US$50. Each fee is paid before the consultation, credited in full against your quotation if you proceed, and not refunded if you do not, because the consultation has been delivered.
Re-registration starts with the register check, the paid consultation set out in the clause above, because what the registry holds against your company decides what the job costs.
If the register check shows your company in a state we cannot fix through the normal route, we say so rather than quoting you for a re-registration that cannot succeed. If that only comes to light after you have paid for the re-registration itself, we refund what you paid for it.
Outstanding annual returns are separate filings with their own cost, US$100 a year each, and we tell you the number before you commit rather than after.
Refunds go back to the account or card the payment came from, in United States dollars. Any conversion loss your bank applies is outside our control.
