ZimCompany › From Australia
You can register and run a Zimbabwean company from Australia without travelling, whatever passport you hold. The working day barely overlaps with Harare, so Australian messages are answered first thing in the Zimbabwean morning, which is before your next working day starts.

Anyone registering a Zimbabwean company while they are in Australia: someone Zimbabwean who has settled there, an Australian investor, or an Australian company that needs a Zimbabwean entity.
Two things change because you are in Australia, and neither stops the work. The clock, and the document trip. Both change how we schedule it.
The Australian Bureau of Statistics counted 39,714 Zimbabwe-born residents in the 2021 census, roughly 32% of them in Western Australia and about three quarters of them Australian citizens. Perth is the centre of gravity, and it is also the Australian city with the least awkward time difference to Harare.
We need an identity document or passport and a proof of address for every person going on the register, and registration documents for any company that will hold shares. What has to be certified, and by whom, depends on what is being registered and who is on the register, so we send you a document list with your estimate rather than a generic one up front. We do not publish a certification or embassy requirement we have not confirmed, because getting that wrong costs you a week and a courier fee.
Where an original genuinely has to travel, we plan the courier leg into the schedule rather than discovering it halfway through.
Your quote carries a card pay link and is priced in United States dollars. Your bank converts at its own rate. Cards issued outside Zimbabwe are sometimes declined by the acquirer, and if that happens we send bank transfer details instead. You pay a deposit when the job is instructed and the balance when the work is done, before documents are released, and our fee and the government fee are separate numbers on every quote.
Zimbabwe is UTC+2 all year. Perth is UTC+8, six hours ahead. Melbourne and Sydney are eight hours ahead in winter and ten in summer, because they change their clocks and Zimbabwe does not.
What that means in practice: a message you send in the Australian evening lands at the start of the Harare working day and is answered before you wake up. Anything you send in the Australian morning is answered the same day, late in your afternoon. We do not pretend to be awake at 03:00 Harare time, and we do not leave Australian clients waiting a full day either.
The rule is the same wherever you are reading this. A Private Business Corporation is held by members under section 252(1) of the Companies and Other Business Entities Act [Chapter 24:31] and no section of the Act puts a residency duty on a member, which suits a single owner outside Zimbabwe. A Private Limited Company needs one director ordinarily resident in Zimbabwe under section 195(2) and a company secretary ordinarily resident in Zimbabwe under section 198(1), and it is the only route for a company registered outside Zimbabwe, because section 253(1) bars a body corporate from being a PBC member.
If you are not a Zimbabwean citizen, or the owner is a company registered outside Zimbabwe, you still get a price from the questionnaire rather than a sales call. Foreign ownership adds a mandatory Zimbabwean company secretary, a registered office in Zimbabwe where you have none, and notes on ZIDA registration and on reserved sectors that carry no figure and are not added to your total.
Yes. Ownership has no residency or citizenship requirement. Only a Private Limited Company needs a director ordinarily resident in Zimbabwe, and a Private Business Corporation does not.
Zimbabwe is UTC+2 all year. Perth is six hours ahead, and Melbourne and Sydney are eight or ten hours ahead depending on the season. Messages sent in your evening are answered before your next morning.
No. Quotes are priced and charged in US dollars, and your bank converts. If a card is declined by the acquirer, we send bank transfer details.
Usually not. Most of the pack moves digitally. Where an original is genuinely required we plan the courier leg into the schedule and tell you before you pay.
